Faith and Healing God's way at Braile Chiropractic Marietta GA

The plaques and writings on the walls of our clinic offer an inspirational message, but they also offer a literal one.   The three that come to my mind are:

  • “With God all things are possible.”
  • “We move the bone God does the healing.”
  • “Faith makes all things possible not easy.”

These are more than just nice words, for they are a truth and a basic when it comes to health. Over the years I have been blessed to see people heal from things they were told would take their lives.  I certainly do not claim to heal them as healing comes from a source far above me.  But it is that same Power that created us, that heals us.

When someone is healed from something they did not expect, they often refer to it as a “miracle”.  It is interesting to note that when someone heals from something they expected to recover from, they do not call that a miracle.  I submit that it is your belief system that determines if something is called a miracle.

If we truly believed that “all things are possible”, then why would we doubt that we can be totally healthy?  I meet people daily who insist they can be somewhat better, but have a liturgy of excuses why they must continue to have the health issues they have.  Many of the excuses sound like these:

  • It’s hereditary; everyone in my family has it.
  • There’s nothing that can be done for ( fill in the blank ), I just have to learn to live with it.
  • It’s just seasonal allergies.
  • It’s stress, or I’m depressed.
  • At my age, I’m expected to have these things.
  • If I take my medication, I have it under control.

If all things are possible, why do we accept excuses for not being healthy?  In Mathew 9:22 Jesus says, “your faith has healed you.”  In several places in the bible Jesus makes this same statement. He did NOT qualify his statement by saying, “you can heal if you go a live a life without stress, or if you had different parents, of if it is not allergy season.”

As a chiropractor, I understand that I do not heal or cure anyone.  As one of our wall plaques clearly states, “We move the bone, God does the healing.”  Understanding where all healing comes from, and having faith that all is possible, removes the fear that a health issue cannot be concurred.
